January 19 2009 was MLK Day and was also a very bright sunny day. Ken and I were going to meet for lunch, so instead we went for a 110 mile ride and had lunch on the way. We ended up making it to the end of Highway 224, which is in the southern foothills of Mt. Hood.

It was a great ride- not terribly cold, beautifully clear weather, and the mountain was out.
