In the morning I went on a one-mile hike to see the river and the bluffs. It was nice to have the trail to myself, though it was a little buggy. Afterwards, I blasted about 200 miles to Jon Diaz's place in Chicago. I'd been planning on visiting him during the trip, since I knew I could change oil, change my rear tire, and generally relax. It's nice to have somewhere to stay and get prepared for my next leg. |
