4/29: Bike problems (short post)
Bike problems du jour. From what I can tell, the rear axle is missing either one or two bearing races, and the internal (floating?) axle has sheared. SNAFU.
We are in .. uh, San Felipe (thanks for the map Kev). Not sure what's next- looking for the fische. Tomorrow I'll see what I can find for parts, and we'll start organizing some sort of expedition to Guatemala City.
Here is a picture of my rear wheel, with all the extra pieces. I posted it to a DL650 list, hopefully someone can help me figure out what I need.

Must suck, being stranded in a beautiful warm place with a lively woman. :)
What is amazing to me is that in spite of the inevitable bike problems, you will be able to keep going because you find a way.
